What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial Release (John F. Barnes Method) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on relieving restrictions in the fascia—the body’s connective tissue web that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, nerves, and joints. When fascia becomes tight from stress, injury, inflammation, surgery, posture, or repetitive strain, it can create tension and pain far from the original source, limiting mobility and affecting overall function.
In a session, sustained, precise pressure is applied to areas of restriction to allow the tissue to soften and unwind naturally. The goal is to reduce pain, improve range of motion, restore alignment, and help the nervous system shift out of “fight or flight” so the body can heal. Many clients seek myofascial release for chronic pain, pelvic pain, scar tissue restrictions, headaches, back/neck/hip discomfort, nerve symptoms, and symptoms that haven’t fully resolved with traditional approaches.

Fascia
Fascia is an intricate, continuous network of connective tissue that envelops and supports every structure within the body including muscles, joints, and organs. When it’s healthy, you move freely. When it becomes tight or restricted, it can lead to discomfort, stiffness, and imbalance.
What is Fascia?
Chronic pain and ongoing tension
Tight or overworked muscles
Headaches and migraines
Neck and back discomfort
Postural issues
Injury recovery and scar tissue
Stress and physical tension
What Can it Help With?
People experiencing pain or stiffness
Athletes and active lifestyles
Those healing from injury or surgery
Individuals managing stress and tension
Anyone wanting to move and feel better in their body
Who Can Benefit?
Rather than chasing symptoms, Myofascial Release focuses on the underlying restrictions that may be causing discomfort—helping create more lasting, meaningful change.
The Experience
Sessions are slow, intentional, and deeply relaxing. Many clients leave feeling lighter, more open, and more connected to their body.
